Community Meal Program

Filling stomachs, touching hearts and providing a good meal to those challenged with food insecurity – even loneliness – is exactly what we strive to do through our community meal program.  We serve fresh, nutritious meals, which are served free of charge on a drop-in basis.

Lunch and supper is served 7 days a week.  Lunch 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm with approximately 100 community members attending each meal.  Supper 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and generally attracts about 200 diners.

Our meals are made from scratch and served by a cook and a team of volunteers.  The program’s volunteers have given 14, 951 hours to serve 95, 928 meals free to the Barrie Community in 2016.  Donations of food, money and time are welcome and needed to maintain our growing and much needed program.

We believe that all people deserve access to fresh and healthy food, served with dignity and respect.
