Clothing Vouchers

Clothing vouchers can be used at The Salvation Army Thrift Store located at 11 Essa Road.

Household Items Voucher

Household Item vouchers are issued once a year. Household vouchers include: Dishes, Utensils, Bedding, Pots/Pans, & Small Kitchen Appliances.

Kids Camp / Mom & Tots Camp

Every summer we have the opportunity to send 45 children in our community to a week of sunshine and fun to one of The Salvation Army camps (Jackson’s Point and Camp Newport), where they can enjoy swimming, campfires, rock climbing, canoeing, sports and other adventurous activities.

Mom & Tots can also enjoy a week away together in the summer at The Salvation Army Camp located at Jackson’s Point.

Back to School Program

Every August we work with Businesses/Individuals to provide Back Packs and school supplies to children going to school. (Kindergarten to Grade 12) Program runs July to September.

Coats For Kids & Folks

Keeping warm can be a challenge, so for the month of November, with the help of our Community, we provide a Coat Drive for children and adults within Simcoe County.

Christmas Assistance /Adopt A Family

During the Christmas season we are able to provide assistance for those who are in need, by assisting with food and toys.  Also, we run the Adopt-A-Family Program where we work with local businesses/families, who sponsor families in need, with gifts and a Christmas Dinner.

Back To Work Program

If an individual is seeking employment and provides proof that they have work, we are able to assist with a pair of gently used steel-toed work boots.  This is available all year.

The Baby’s Closet

If an individual is seeking employment and provides proof that they have work, we are able to assist with a pair of gently used steel-toed work boots.  This is available all year.

Income Tax Clinic

We offer a year round Tax Clinic for low-income families.  Through the clinic we can prepare taxes up to the last seven years.

Emergency Food Bags

This program allows “one time only” assistance to individuals/families with food. We do not operate a Food Bank at this location instead we provide lunch and supper seven (7) days a week through our Community Meal Program.

ID Clinic

Assist individuals with Ontario Birth Certificates, Health cards and Immigration/Citizenship papers.

Baking / Cooking Classes

We offer baking and cooking to anyone in the community wanting to learn the basics to food preparation and cooking, as well how to cook on a budget.  It’s a time of relationship building and fun.

Computer Labs

Computers are available to our residents and community, to help with job and housing searches.  As well as to create a resume or simply connect with friends and family.
